The Mavs went 2-1 in pool play with wins over Southlake Carroll (47-33) and Abilene Cooper (28-14), while falling to Crowley (42-34).
Manvel then posted championship bracket victories over Cy-Fair (32-19), Plano East (46- 25) and Lovejoy (33-30) to advance to the semifinals against College Station.
The Mavs overcame an early 14-0 deficit and battled College Station to five lead changes, before dropping a 34-32 squeaker Saturday.
College Station went on to edge A&M Consolidated 20-19 for the Division I championship.
